Series 1 of record group RG 84-105 consists of a register of licensed pharmacists, from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy for the years 1886-1984. The Board was established in 1885 under Public Act 134. It was to consist of five members to be appointed by the governor. The duty of the Board was to examine all applications for registration and to grant certificates to those qualified to hold them. A record had to be kept of all people approved by the Board, including name, address, and certificate number. This mandatory register constitutes this series.
